Just Checking In To Say Hi

It's been a couple of weeks since I've written you a letter, so I was just checking in to say hi. I love for my letters to be intentional. Unrushed.

My family went on a road trip this past weekend to see one of Kiley and Kyla's favorite pop bands in concert. We had so much fun! We danced from the beginning to the end. By the end of the show, my feet were gone. LOL!! Before and during the trip, we did some of Kenny's favorite things. I love seeing the happiness and joy in my babies' eyes. My hubby and I love making their dreams come true and doing their favorite things with them. He is so amazing! I'm so grateful to be blessed with my bestie and soulmate. My family is my everything, and they are my favorite people! I love them so much!

Mama always did my favorite things with me. She would cook my favorite foods; as a matter of fact, it used to seem like all of the entire grocery basket was filled with my favorite things. She always walked in my dreams with me, no matter how big or small. Back in the 90s, well before self-checkout at stores was a thing, I used to be fascinated by the beeping sound of the products as they scanned. I remember Mama asking the cashier,

"Do you mind if my baby swiped a few of the groceries across? She really wants to do it."

It may seem small, but in my little girl's mind at the time, that was super cool and exciting, and it was big! She would listen to my frustrations and my joys, and guide me through them. She would listen to me read my favorite books; she would be in the "audience" in my bedroom or the living room, along with my dolls and my favorite Teddy Ruxpin bear as I sang. I always knew, even as a little girl, that that was the bond I wanted with my children. I am blessed to say I have a beautiful bond with my children as well as with my husband.

It is a must to have peace in your life, within you, and surrounding you because when you look at the news, it's clear that the world's in an uproar. Protect your space and your peace.

I tried to keep up with some of the dance moves they taught me. LOL!!!!! But this small snippet is a little freestyle from me. I was sweating so much! Lol!!! We danced together and had an amazing time. It was so much fun!
