Where Are The Recipes?

Where are the recipes, Jane? That's a question I've heard a few times. When I reflect on the beginning of Love, Jane, I was new to food blogging. I was trying to find my rhythm. I was posting throughout the week like food bloggers typically do. I had a rhythm going, but it didn't feel true to me entirely. I felt like it was too fast. Though I was keeping up with a certain schedule, it's more of my style to zoom in and focus on each ingredient in a recipe. Why are these ingredients necessary for this particular recipe? If I remove an ingredient, will the texture be different? How will the recipe be different, or will it be a noticeable difference at all? For example, one time I baked a delicious carrot cake, but I noticed the carrots were green. What made the carrots turn green in the carrot cake? Well, it was either too much baking soda or baking powder, or not enough buttermilk. My style of food blogging would have been to zoom in on the cause of the green carrots and to share my updated recipe before sharing a new recipe.
When I share that there was a "detour" that defined Love, Jane, I'm referring to how I leaned into what is authentic to me and feels more exciting. Back in 2024, I started offering products and services. It started slow, then it picked up. Then, honestly, that started to feel overwhelming. Email after email ... call after call (which I am absolutely grateful for). I then started to lean into what feels right in that moment in time. The answer was beautiful.
It takes courage to build a business. From the very beginning, there are eyes on the process. People may wonder, Did she quit? (No). Does she still have her business? (Absolutely!) Why aren't there any updates? (I have an exclusive space I've created to connect with Love, Jane supporters). LOL!!
Yes, I still offer services. Just in a way that aligns with where I am now creatively. And, as for my products - I've always used quality ingredients; however, now I am taking it a step further in such an exciting way.
I am so grateful for the love and support from my family. My beautiful hubby has always supported me in everything I've ever aspired to do. My beautiful babies are always cheering me on. They are always super supportive! And thank you!

In each moment in time, we lean into our rhythm. What's so awesome is that every moment is authentic. It's just our organic growth that moves us to shift, continues to elevate who we've always been. If Love, Jane would have become what I thought it could have years ago, I would've eventually felt unsatisfied. My walk of intention to build the foundation of Love, Jane may not be loud, but it is time well spent, and I smile at how far I've come.
Keep your light!
