Moving With Intention

Architectural Sketch = Business Plan

Have you ever pondered the process of what it takes to build a beautiful brick home? There's far more that goes into it than the layering of the bricks. Sketches, construction plans, floor plans, elevations, and section drawings are usually the beginning. Kind of like the vision board or the business plan. Before even one brick is laid, the land has to be prepared. It has to be cleared of debris, leveled, and the soil gets tested for stability. Good soil really matters. There are many more steps in place before the layering of the bricks.

It's similar when building a business with authenticity and moving with intention. During an open house, people look at the model homes and admire the floor plan, the features, the beauty of the exterior and interior of the home. Before the home reached that point, many steps were taken to secure the foundation.

The same can be said for the process of a business. From a distance, the founder may look uncertain about which direction to take the business in, but not when it's being built with passion and integrity. Just as a beautiful home starts from many unseen steps, so does business. The business owner is usually behind the scenes, taking notes of how to build and protect their business - reading book after book, speaking with professionals on how to protect what they are building so that they can continue to build with confidence and know how to handle different scenarios, when to contact legal teams, and so on.

I'm sure there are many more different types of awards today, but back when I was in school, I probably received almost every award there was to receive. I don't say that to brag. I'm not a bragger. I've always had a huge passion for researching, studying, and learning. Even as an adult, I always have notebooks, pencils, pens, and highlighters studying something new. I have always loved to learn, and don't get me started on my passion for reading. I read billboards like a beautifully written book. Lol! Anything that has words. I was never forced to do these things. I just naturally loved it. Still do. Mama had never had to ask me to do my homework. Ever! She was so gentle! I just always thought that if I knew it was an assignment to be done, I should do it.

I don't know everything there is to know about business. I believe in always being a student of what matters and being open to learning. I'm still trying to figure out what business owners mean when they say, use AI for business. Lol! I started using it to double-check some facts I had learned. I didn't like it. As someone passionate about writing, I prefer researching the old school way. To me, AI started feeling like it would give answers and wording instead of just the information you're inquiring about.

Love, Jane is different layers of me. In the past, I used to post, sharing different layers of myself on different pages. In my business, I have combined all of those layers. I know what my vision is for Love, Jane, and I'm building it. I thank you so much for patiently waiting for what I have to offer. It's not a race for me. I am honoring my nervous system, taking it a step at a time. Purposefully building and moving with intention.

Jewel For Today.

Building a business is a courageous act. No matter the intention, one is open to criticism. Don't get upset. Not all criticism comes from a place of malice. I'm really good at zooming in on the psychological undertone of a matter. Sometimes, consistent pounding on the desk is an underlying question: Who are you? I'd love to have lunch with anyone with this question, but unfortunately, it's not always that simple. Many times, you just have to keep walking with grace and understanding.

What happens if your business is transitioning? Well, when a business is authentic, it's going to organically become more of what it was intended to be initially, and any other service offered will still be true to its founder.

There are moments in business that are not your favorite, but when you're passionate about what you do, every moment contributes to your progress.
